When you send a medical message to a practice, an e-mail is generated in the background. Unlike a conventional e-mail, this e-mail is sent to the practice in a protected form and cannot be viewed by third parties (including your insurance company). Data protection is therefore guaranteed at all times. This also applies if you receive a medical message from the practice.
You can use a medical message to communicate securely with a practice. The medical message is sent to the practice and never directly to the doctor. This ensures that your message is read by a practice assistant, even if the doctor is on holiday.
You can also attach files to a medical message that you have previously saved in the dossier, e.g. images and PDFs.
As it is not possible to say exactly when your message will be read, the service cannot be used to obtain help in an emergency.
